A GEORGE III MAHOGANY LONGCASE CLOCK

the brass eight day movement with four knopped pillars, an anchor escapement and striking on a bell, the brass 12 inch dial with a silvered chapter ring with black Roman and Arabic numerals around a matted centre with floral decoration, the silvered seconds dial inscribed 'THOS. NEVITT BRISTOL' and a date aperture, inside scrolling foliate spandrels and beneath an arch with a moonphase and inscribed 'HIGH WATER AT BRISTOL KEY', the case with an arched door with blind fretwork columns and frieze panel on a trunk with a serpentine door, blind fretwork returns and panelled base, with a pair of brass-cased weights and a pendulum
