the bearded figure wearing a helmet, the reverse with a foundry pastille inscribed 'vrai bronze garanti Paris' , his left shoulder signed 'H. Aurilli' and on a separate Doric capital with an applied label inscribed 'Spartacus par R. Aurilli', together with a verde antico marble plinth
