A George III 22ct gold toothpick case, circa 1793, and a 9ct gold cigarette case, circa 1935, the toothpick case of elongated outline with rounded ends in polished gold, the lid engraved with the crest of a fleur-de-lys, opening to reveal a plain interior, measuring 8.8 x 3.0 x 1.0cm, British hallmarks, date letter S for 1793, sponsor's mark GC, attributed to George Cowdery of 1 Buckingham Street, gross weight 66 grams; and a cigarette case of rectangular outline, the exterior of fluted design, the hinged lid opening via a cabochon sapphire pushpiece, revealing a plain interior, inscribed 'CSV 1906-1924, from the employees of the Childwickbury Estate', measuring 6.6 x 7.9 x 1.5cm, British hallmark for 9ct gold, date letter u for 1935, sponsor's mark JW&Co, gross weight 95 grams
