A ruby and diamond novelty brooch, late 19th century, designed as a pair of monkeys, one sat on a bar, the other suspended from a ring, set with circular-cut and cushion-shaped rubies, cushion-shaped and rose-cut diamonds, and accented with a citrine and two turquoise cabochons, mounted in silver and gold, length 5.6cm
