A Louis XV French provincial silver wine taster,
by Jean-Louis Besnard, Compeigne 1754,
circular form, the shaped scroll thumb-piece engraved with a cherub rowing in a boat, also inscribed 'Armour Trouve Moyen', with a finger ring, the side inscribed 'P. Bardoux', length 11.5cm, approx. weight 3.8oz.
