A Victorian novelty 'bullseyes' lantern silver combination sewing etui and vinaigrette,
by Thomas Johnson, London 1873, retailed by Thornhills,
the hinged base opens to reveal a pierced silver-gilt grille, the hinged cover opens to reveal a cotton reel, pin holders, a thimble, scissors, a handle with screw-on attachments, the front hinged glass cover reveals a gilt compartment, with belt hook and buckle attachments, height 7.8cm.
