A Du Paquier teabowl, c.1730, painted by Carl Wendelin Anreiter with fine schwarzlot decoration of a seated Chinese dignitary and three attendants beside a palm tree in a continuous landscape scene, 8.3cm dia.
The decoration is assumed to derive from an engraving by Johann Christoph Weigel (1661-1726), Chinoiseries With Different Professions (Chinoiserien Mit Verschiedenen Berufen), published in Nuremburg between 1681-1726.
