A Frankenthal coffee cup, c.1765, painted in the chinoiserie manner probably by Christian Friedrich Winterstein after Jean-Baptiste Pillement, with a Chinese figure holding a long stick with a colourful bird perched on one end, the sides with scattered flying insects, the rim with a formal gilt foliate border probably by Jacob Daute, blue crowned CT monogram mark, 7cm high.
