A Doccia coffee cup, c.1755, and a Chinese porcelain coffee cup of a similar date, painted with the same design of a squirrel on a fruiting pomegranate branch beside fruiting vine and flowering plants, 6.5cm max. (2)
The Doccia cup is a direct copy of the Chinese original, and yet much more finely painted.
