A large French (Polakowski et Cie) majolica Palissy-style trompe l'oeil dish, late 19th century, by Alfred Renoleau, modelled with a large fish and a eel resting on a bed of ferns and other leaves, the rim with further fish, crayfish and scallop shells, impressed mark, painted AR monogram to the underside, 64cm.
