Shoji Hamada (1894-1978)

a fine earthenware vase made at the Leach Pottery, St Ives circa 1920-23,

ovoid form with collar rim, covered in a cream slip, incised bands of stylised flowers, with iron painted details and bands,

impressed Leach Pottery mark and Hamada seal mark,

22cm. high
