Catalogue Note
Miss Florence Lilian Down was born on the 5th November in 1892 in Dover. The 1922 Kelly's Directory gives her address as 34 Elms Vale Road, Dover and her profession as a 'L.R.A.M.' (Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music) teacher of music. She appears to have lived at Elms Road all her life, never marrying. She died on the 1st November 1981.
