By Stuart Devlin, a modern commemorative silver-gilt prototype surprise egg,
London 1981,
pierced textured body, with a Royal armorial shield, the pull-off cover opens to reveal bas-relief portraits of Charles and Diana, with a border of enamelled orange blossom decoration, also with radiating silver-gilt wire-work to simulate a fountain, on a silver base, height 8cm, approx. weight 5oz.
