Description
A Paris porcelain coffee service, c.1808-18, decorated by Stone, Coquerel et Le Gros with pastoral scenes of figures and landscapes within gilt-edged panels on a white ground, the rims with continuous black and gilt palmette borders, the spouts and handles formed as mythical beasts and masks in the Egyptian manner, printed circular marks. Comprising: a coffee pot and cover, a hot water jug and cover, a milk jug, six cups and seven saucers, plus two associated plates with similar decoration within sepia fruit rims. (20)
