A rare pair of Meissen trencher salts, c.1735-40, of lobed quatrefoil shape, finely painted to the wells with two birds perched on a small branch beside a stem of red leaves, the sides with flowering indianische Blumen branches, blue crossed swords marks, 8cm across. (2)
