Description
A rare Chelsea figure group of goats, c.1750-52, modelled with two kids recumbent on a low pad base applied with flowers, their coats patched in brown and black, applied raised anchor mark, some good restoration to extremities, 11.5cm across.
Cf. Victoria and Albert Museum, Accession No. 414:206-1885 for a near identical example from the collection of Lady Charlotte Schreiber.
