A Martin Brothers stoneware oil lamp base by Edwin & Walter Martin, dated 1888, swollen form on flaring conical base, incised with a figure holding a chained dragon whilst two other young men ride dragons, in a scrolling foliate ground, glaze ochre and tan, the stem with scrolling foliage, incised 1-1888 Martin Bros London & Southall, firing crack to base, 24cm. high
