A Queen Anne presentation silver tobacco box,
by Benjamin Pyne, London 1710,
oval form, the pull-off cover engraved with a ship in full sail and inscribed 'The Christopher' and 'Vento & Velis', the interior inscribed 'London This 24th December 1711 The gift of Mr. Richard Du Cane to his Friend Mr Chistopher Burrow', the base inscribed 'B', length 9.6cm, approx. weight 3.4oz.
