A FRENCH GILT BRASS CARRIAGE CLOCK
RETAILED BY PARKINSON & FRODSHAM, LATE 19TH CENTURY
the brass eight day movement with a silvered platform escapement, hourly repeat and alarm mechanisms and striking on a gong, the backplate stamped with the serial number '6804', on a white enamel dial with black Roman hour numerals above a subsidiary alarm dial with Arabic numerals and inscribed 'PARKINSON & FRODSHAM 4 CHANGE ALLEY LONDON', in a gorge case with an oval top viewing window and four bevelled glass panes
