A CHINESE ARCHAISTIC BRONZE VESSEL AND COVER, HU
YUAN/MING DYNASTY

Cast in two parts, the pear-shaped body with two dragon-mask handles, decorated with taotie, with bands of lotus lappets to the rims and four lines of seal script to the interior, with a paper label for the Finer Collection 'CB 118', 7kg, 38cm. (2)

Provenance: previously from a Hong Kong private collection, then purchased from Nicholas Pitcher, London, 22nd August 2008.
