AN EGYPTIAN REVIVAL OPAL, DIAMOND AND ENAMEL BROOCH, MID 19TH CENTURY, designed as a winged scarab, its body composed of an oval cabochon opal set with rose-cut diamonds, framed by twin gold snakes with ruby eyes, the scarab's outstretched wings set with cushion-shaped rubies and rose-cut diamonds and detailed in green enamel, mounted in gold, stamped O.R.*.M. H.N.V.S, width 5cm, gross weight 8.7g
