A large Japanese bronze censer, decorated with panels of water birds, amidst lotus, reeds and breaking waves, the handles as the rice god Daikoku beneath a giant bag of rice, the reticulated lid with sages beneath a pine tree, a six character inscription to the base, 19th century, 43cm.
