IN THE MANNER OF MAYHEW AND INCE, C.1780 AND LATER
of rectangular and stepped breakfront form, with rosewood banding, the hinged lid decorated with musical trophies and with an ormolu classical urn, within a dot circle of friendship, above panel of chinoiserie figures and landscapes, the purple velvet lined early 19th century interior, with a pair of hobnail cut glass caddies, with silver tops, one inscribed 'CHINA' the other 'INDIA' flanking an engraved sugar bowl
