A rare pair of Chinese famille rose phoenix bowls, each finely decorated with four mythical birds amidst flowers and foliage, bordered by fine gilt bands, each with a four character shen de tang zhi mark (hall for the cultivation of virtue), one with minor damage, Daoguang period 1821-50, 14.3cm.
