A George II silver-gilt shaving bowl, probably from The Warrington Plate,
by David Willaume, London 1742,
oblong form, moulded border with a neck notch, possibly with a trace of gilding, engraved with an earl's coronet above a 'W' probably for George Booth, 2nd Earl of Warrington, the underside with a scratch weight '33-4' and with an old museum loan number, length 34.2cm, approx. weight 33oz.
