ALTO ADIGE OR VENETO, LATE 16TH / EARLY 17TH CENTURY AND LATER
penwork decorated with Renaissance style courtly figures, soldiers and battle scenes, the underside of the hinged lid with a king and queen, the interior with satyrs and fitted with three lidded compartments and three drawers, the underside with branded initials 'WB'
