A CHINESE INSCRIBED CELADON JADE SNUFF BOTTLE
PROBABLY PALACE WORKSHOPS, BEIJING, 1760-1800

Of flattened ovoid form shape with an everted lip, one side carved with a blossoming prunus branch, the other side carved with an intaglio inscription in clerical script titled Yuzhi Xinglun Shi (Imperial Produced Poem of the Apricot Tree), all with gilt highlights, 6.2cm.

Purchased from Bonhams New York, 17th March 2014, the Emmanuel Dimitri Gran (1894-1969) collection, lot 8015.
