A JAPANESE SATSUMA FOLIATE BOWL BY NIKKO
MEIJI ERA, 19TH/20TH CENTURY
The well richly decorated with the Yōmeimon Gate at Nikko Tōshōgū Shrine, the rim with a border of karakusa scrolls and mon (family crests), the reverse with two panels enclosing landscapes and with similar borders, the base signed Satsuma Nikko zo beneath the Shimazu mon, 15.9cm.
