A LARGE JAPANESE IRO-NABESHIMA DISH BY THE IMAEMON WORKSHOP
HEISEI ERA, 20TH/21ST CENTURY

The flower-shaped body decorated with flowering branches of camellia before banded hedges, all rendered in underglaze blue and red, yellow and cyan enamels; the reverse with three beribboned jewels and the base marked Imaemon in underglaze blue; with a tomobako (wood box) inscribed Nishiki iwa-botan gensai-ban (polychrome dish with floral festoons), and signed and sealed Imaemon, 25.8cm.
