TWO JAPANESE BRONZE VASES, ONE BY MARUTANI TANDŌ (1900-1984)
SHŌWA/HEISEI, 20TH CENTURY

Both with deep blue-green patinas, the first a tall bottle-shaped vase with the rim at an angle, marked Tandō underneath, with a tomobako (wood box) inscribed Seidō kiriguchi hanama / hana-ike (bronze flower vase with cross-section rim) and signed Marutani Tandō saku (made by Marutani Tandō); the other with a diamond-shaped, faceted body, a faint stamped mark underneath, 25.5cm and 13cm.
