A JAPANESE NANRYŌ SILVER VASE BY ICHINOSE SOSHIN IV (1904-82)
SHŌWA/HEISEI, 20TH CENTURY

Modelled as a five-petalled flower with a long stem, with semi-circular side handles; in a tomobako (wood box) inscribed Nanryō Rikyū-kono-mi kiky, ō-guchi hana-ike (high-purity silver, balloon flower-shaped vase in the taste of Sen no Rikyū) and signed Ichinose Sōshin with a seal, 18.7cm. (2)
