A JAPANESE BOX AND COVER BY FUJII YOSHITOYO (B.1868)
TAISHÅ ERA, 20TH CENTURY
The cover decorated with a thatched watermill by a stream, nestled amongst tall trees and with a small bird flying above; the sides with further thatched buildings in a watery landscape and with sailing boats to the reverse, all rendered in nunome zogan, the base with Fujii Yoshitoyo's Fujii Damascene Company trademark, 5cm x 13.5cm x 9.3cm.
