A JAPANESE LACQUER KAYAKUIRE (GUN POWDER FLASK)
EDO PERIOD, 18TH/19TH CENTURY
The pear-shaped body with lappets to the top, a thin cylindrical spout and a lid; decorated with Mount Fuji to one side and a bird in flight to the other, in gold lacquer hiramaki-e on the black roiro ground; 9.8cm.
