A WALNUT TABLE CLOCK
INSCRIBED 'RICHARD BAKER', LATE 17TH CENTURY AND LATER
the brass eight day twin fusee repeating movement with a verge escapement, bob pendulum, quarter chiming on a nest of three bells and striking on a further single bell, the backplate engraved with a winged cherub mask amongst scrolling foliage and inscribed 'Richard Baker Londini fecit', the brass dial with a chapter ring with black Roman numerals, matted centre and date aperture, winged mask spandrels and 'Strike No Strike' lever, the case with an eagle and dolphin handle over a gilt brass repoussé basket top decorated with flowers, cherubs, and fruits with four urn finials and brass eagle claw feet
