Catalogue Note
John Belchier is first recorded at The Sun, St. Paul's Church Yard in 1717 and remained there until his death in 1753. His most famous commission was at Erddig where he supplied a suite of giltwood and gesso tables, pier glasses and sconces which remain in situ.
