baluster form with engraved foliate decoration, hinged cover with a leaf finial, inscribed 'Presented by the directors of the Scottish Central Railway Co. to Thomas Couper Esq. as a recognition of his valuable gracious services to the company 1861', on a circular foot, height 32.2cm, approx. weight 32oz.
