the brass eight day movement with four turned pillars and an anchor escapement striking on a bell, the 11 inch dial with a silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals, the centre with Rococo style engraving with a cherub and scrolls, signed 'Benjn Anns, Highworth', the case decorated in gilt with chinoiserie, with a pair of weights, pendulum and winding key
