The brass plaques are inscribed 'Designer N.G. Herreshoff, Built 1887 by Herreshoff Mfg. Co., Material: Wood, Rig: Screw Schooner ...' and 'Owners: Elbridge T. Gerry 1884-1912'.
Designed by 'Wm. Cramp & Sons' and built in 1883 for Jay and George Gould.
