A LATE 19TH CENTURY SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND BROOCH, of openwork scroll design, set with four cushion-shaped sapphires within a diamond-set surround, in yellow gold and silver, width 6.5cm, fitted case stamped MJ beneath a Viscount's coronet

A verbal report from GCS (5786-4069) states that three of the sapphires are colour-change, with no indications of heating, origin: Sri Lanka, one sapphire (central) shows no indication of heating, origin: Sri Lanka
