A William De Morgan Persian twin-handled vase and cover by J Hersey, painted with birds in an apple tree, a mountainous landscape, in colours impressed Sand's End roundel, painted JH, collection paper label, one handle professionally restored, hairline to cover rim 35cm. high Provenance 2nd Lord Swaythling, thence by Descent Lord Swaythling lent to the British Decorative Arts exhibition held at the Louvre in 1914 and sold the majority of his De Morgan collection at Sotheby's in 1946.
