A scrolled paper coat of arms, with polychrome and gilt edge decoration, the armorial within a leaf border and blue silk background, the triple stepped outer frame of semi circles issuing foliage, in an ebonised frame, 2nd half 18th century, 21 x 19in (53 x 48cm) The arms and crest are of Saunders impaling another. There are many branches of the Saunders family, mainly scattered around the Midlands. Purchased 2nd Aug. 1975, Biggs, ?485
