A George III merit award in the form of an artist's palette, one side initialled 'EA' within an oak wreath; the other inscribed 'Reward of merit presented to Miss Eliza Ackland for her studious attention and improvement in drawing at Miss Grimani's Bridgewater House, Lec, Kent Christmas 1818. C.J.M.W. WHICHELOE, master', possibly by John Merry, London 1818, 2.5in (6.3cm) high.
