A set of four George II cast candlesticks on shaped square bases with 'well' centres and knopped columns, decorated with ropework and gadrooning and leaf capping, detachable nozzles, the bases crested, the undersides with incised scratchweights '21-1', '21-8', '19-6', and '20-15' and numbered 'No.6', 'No.3', 'No.8' and 'No.7', by George Wickes, London 1745, heights approximately 8.7in (22cm) high (slight varitations), 82oz.
