A wooden model of a clipper ship, probably The Great Republic, having three masts, the stern with a gilt eagle, on a naturalistic rectangular base, 16.5in (42cm) h, 27in (68.5cm) l, cased. The Great Republic was launched from Boston on 4th October 1853.
