A rare Chinese Beijing enamel quatrefoil box base, finely painted with a design of pomegranates, shells, scrolls and ribbons on a yellow ground, above a rose border of leaf scrolls, gilded copper mounts to the rim and foot, 1st half 18th century, minor faults, 4.8cm.
