A Japanese ivory carving of a sorcerer, wearing finely decorated and elaborate robes, holding a basket of fruit, a bird like creature kneels beside him holding a tray of offerings, Meiij 1868-1812, 14.5cm. Provenance: gifted to General Hopkinson in the late 19th century, from the Summer Palace, Peking.
