A Chinese blue and white stem bowl, the centre decorated with a roundel containing five bats amidst a fruiting gourd vine, the underside with the eight Buddhist emblems, beneath a band of ruyi, the foot with pendant stiff leaves, a six character Yongzheng mark, and of the period 1723-35, small restored rim chip with associated crack, 17.4cm.
