Description
A rare Gilbody figure of a Levantine lady, wearing a pink headdress and a long yellow robe, a floral dress and pink undergarments, she stands with her arms in a theatrical pose raised upon a pad base applied with flowers and leaves. Minor faults. c.1754-60, 17.5cm.

These figures were probably copied from Meissen originals, Staffordshire versions are also known as well as copies at Longton Hall (See E.C.C. Transactions Vol.10 part 5, P.346)
