Description
A 19th century French cast iron bed, attributed to Dupont, Paris, the shaped front panels deeply cast in renaissance style, figures, scrolls, foliage and masks, with faux rosewood painted panels and a bar support back on castors, 51in (129.5cm) h, 82in (208cm) w, 53in (135cm) d. A similar bed with an elaborate hunting scene by 'Dupont, Paris' was exhibited at The Great Exhibition, Crystal Palace 1851.
