Description

An early 19th century cameo mounted pendant, in the renaissance manner, the carved hardstone cameo depicts a women with an elaborate ruff, possibly Queen Elizabeth I, the scrolling gold mount with polychrome enamel decoration mounted with small diamonds, further enamel decoration to the reverse, suspending two pearls (one missing) the cameo 2cm high, the pendant 3.2cm wide, fitted case.
